How to redeem an Uber gift card

Redeem in the Uber app

Update and open the app
Use the latest version of the Uber app and sign in to the account that should get the balance.
Open Wallet
Tap Account (or the menu) → Wallet.
Add the gift card
Tap Add payment method (or Redeem gift card) → Gift card, enter the code with no spaces and tap Add.
Ride or order
The balance shows in Wallet and is applied at checkout, for rides as well as Uber Eats orders.

Account → Wallet
In Uber Eats, tap Account, then Wallet.
Gift card
Tap Add payment method → Gift card, type the code and confirm. The same balance appears in the Uber app.

One country per card

Uber gift cards are sold for one country and redeem on accounts from that country — a UK card will not load on a US account. Uber also caps the total gift card value an account can hold (in the US, 500 dollars), so space out very large amounts.

Pick the country of the Uber account; the balance is added in that local currency.

Wrong country
